Sister Style

February 2, 2015

In this feature we thought it would be fun to occasionally share our own style and how we wear our Jalune pieces. We have always shared clothes & style tips – plus shopping together is one of our favorite sister rituals. Clothing for us has always played a large role in our relationship. We borrowed/stole from each other’s closets as teens and made things unique while growing up on a budget by finding vintage or modifying pieces (I spray painted my boots silver in high school… I wish I still had them! -jessica ). We regularly send each other outfit selfies before dates and events. We admire how each other puts an outfit together and always seek each other’s advice. We hope you enjoy a glimpse of our favorite ways to wear Jalune!

As you know we love coffee! We both went out to grab a perfect cup this past Saturday at our local favorite spots and wore our Jalune Breezy Shirt in blue.

Hillary was in cold Boulder, Colorado – so she wore her shirt with black jeans, boots, and a cute moto jacket.

I was in sunny Long Beach, California and it was 80 degrees in January! No complaints here – I threw on my favorite vintage cut-offs, sunnies, and beaded moccasins. Jalune_jessica

Our favorite shirt from the Breezy Set is super versatile, garment dyed a shade of blue that goes with every pair of jeans you own. The subtle western piping detail separates it from a plain button down, the cover placket dresses it up a bit, and the tencel fabric is like a washed soft denim feel that drapes off the body for a relaxed fit – perfect for heading out the door for coffee!

The evenings are still light enough to grab a blanket, pack some food, and enjoy some wine as the day slowly cools into night. A picnic is the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy the slow transition of seasons. Whether you pack up your own homemade goodies or pick up some of your favorite tacos on the way to the park, a picnic only requires good company and a good patch of grass! What is your favorite picnic food?
